With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Scott Robertson of Oxford, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, P. O. Robertson and Ada Robertson; the mother of his children Judy Singley Robertson; his wife Frances Simmons Robertson; his brothers, Harold, Howard and Frank Robertson; and his son-in-law Chip Loftin.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Loftin of Mandeville, LA, Carolyn Cooper (Ken) of Marietta, GA and Jeffrey Robertson (Tracey) of Nuremberg, Germany; and his grandchildren, Carley Robertson of Summerville, SC, Samuel Cooper of Marietta, GA, John Loftin of Mandeville, LA, Cooper Robertson of Columbus, MS, William Cooper of Atlanta, GA, Nicholas Loftin of Mandeville, LA and Collin Robertson of Colorado Springs, CO.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church - Columbia (411 Church St, Columbia, MS 39429). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Scott's memory to the First United Methodist Church of Columbia or to the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation.
