He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie "Bill" McEwen and Beulah McEwen (Atwater); his wife Alice A McEwen (Pettis); his sons, Willie B. and Jeffie L. McEwen; and the parents of child, Willie "Bill" and Beulah McEwen.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Buford (Larry) of Richton Park, IL, Cathy Fountain of Oxford, MS and Kelvin McEwen of Waterloo, IA; his brother Calvin McEwen of Plant City, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Mattie Kearney (James) of Posen, IL and David Pettis of Waterloo, IA. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grand and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
