He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Dukes of Southaven, MS, Ronsi Morgan of Southaven, MS, Tamatha Dukes of Racine, WI, LaBriska Gordon of Tampa, FL and Antonio Morgan of Oxford, MS; his siblings, Perry Mathis (Willie Lois) of Oxford, MS, Milton Mathis of Oxford, MS, David Hilliard of Oxford, MS, David Mathis of Coffeeville, MS, Bettie Turnage (Vivian Goliday) of Oxford, MS, Lydia Pegues (Lee) of Oxford, MS, Marie Mathis (Annie Mathis) of Oxford, MS, Jeanette Pegues (Kenneth) of Oxford, MS, Louise Mathis (Margaret Mathis) and Maggie Stokes of Florida; and his close friend Mary Flowers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the East St. Peter M. B. Church (274 Co Rd 215, Abbeville, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
