He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Watkins and Clysta Watkins; and his former wife Juanita Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Watkins of Abbeville, MS; his children, Stanley Watkins (Alice) of Abbeville, Peggy Thomas (Keith) of Oxford, Steve Watkins (Betty) of Water Valley, MS, Penny Colston (Bob) of Abbeville, Pam Brown (Jim), Stacy Watkins (Martha) of Abbeville and Patty Lusby (Joe) of Holly Springs, MS; and his stepdaughter Kristy Hollowell (Kerry) of Oxford. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials can be made to the Gideons (P.O. Box 142 Oxford, MS 38655) or the Abbeville Cemetery Fund (P.O. Box 19 Abbeville, MS 38601).
