With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harvey Edwin Hatfield in Oxford, Mississippi, born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lawrence Hatfield and Mary Millie Hatfield Robbins (Welch); his granddaughter Sandi Mayfield; and his siblings, Allen Lawrence Hatfield and Rose Mary Robbins Platt.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Barz Hatfield; his daughters, Rachel Mayfield (Mike) and Molly Robertson (Wayne); his grandchildren, Savanna, Jake, Mary, Belle and Jacqueline; and his brother James Robbins. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (6001 Goodman Rd, Walls, MS 38680). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (290 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS 38671).
