He is survived by: his children, Jimmie Owens (Gracie) of Taylor, MS, Garfield Owens Jr. (Sonquanetta) of Taylor, MS, Clifford Owens of Taylor, MS, Mable Bell of Taylor, MS and Annette Vaughn of Taylor, MS; his grandchildren, Jasmine Owens, Johnathan Owens, Lesley Owens, Devon Jones, Michael Bell, Alexis Hemphill and Allison Bell; his sister Leonia Hairston of Flint; and his great grandchildren, Hatalie Booker, Kayden Hemphill and Magnolia Owens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
