With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Laverne Gatewood Applebaum (Oxford, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her father Henry D. Gatewood; and her husband Robert J. "Bobby" Applebaum. She is survived by: her mother Lillie Mae Waller; her children, Lori Lynn Applebaum, Steve Applebaum (Kim) of Cordova, TN and Ken Applebaum (Alexis) of Memphis, TN; her sister Joyce Gatewood Cavallo of Forked River, NJ; her granddaughters, Mallori Rush, Meredith Carter (Aaron), Sarah Biggs (Nick), Anna Mitson (Corey), Hope Applebaum, Faith Applebaum and Grace Applebaum; and her great grandchildren, Harper Rush, Hallie Claire Rush and Barrett Carter.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Waller Funeral Home & Cremation Services (419 MS-6, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
