He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Curtis and Ara Lavada Phillips Sparks; and his sister Wilma King. He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Lee Hodge Sparks of Oxford, MS; his children, Angela Slade (Bill) of Oxford, MS, Patty Welch of Oxford, MS and Michael Sparks of Oxford, MS; and his siblings, Jean Brown of Oxford, MS and Dwight Sparks of Oxford, MS. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
