It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Smith of Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Ottawa N. Smith; his parents-in-law, Warren and Cherry Tyson; his niece Aaliyah McWilliams; and his brother-in-law Jerry Agnew.
He is survived by: his wife Vermacy Smith; his close friend Judy Driver; his children, Greg Smith (Christina), Anthony Smith (Yolanda), Khadeja Mackey (C. J.), Ieshea Smith, Victoria Turner (Deon), Mike Mitchell (Krisna), Brandi White and Demetrius Dunn; his mother Jimmie D. Smith; his siblings, Aubrey Smith (Linda), Sylvia Agnew, Connie Smith, Lonnie Smith, Prophet Patrick Johnson (Chiquita), Nicholas Smith and Veronica Smith; and his godsons, Travis Burt and Brandon McCray. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
