She is survived by: her children, Beverly Martin of Oxford, MS., Cherlyn "Cooky" McEwen of Oxford, MS. and Rebecca McEwen (Ira) of Oxford, MS.; her grandchildren, Marie Pomerlee (Gerry) of Oxford, MS, David Baskin of Oxford, MS, Baradras Martin of Oxford, MS, Tineshe Kee of Oxford, MS, Ge'Varick McEwen of Oxford, MS, KaJavia McEwen of Oxford, MS and Ebony McEwen of Southaven, MS.; her niece Debra Mathis (TC); and her son Dino Johnson.
After retirement, she would go on to work with the Foster Grandparent's volunteer program at the Regional Center, until the Covid pandemic began.
