She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Charles L. Smith and Bettie Usher Smith. She is survived by: her children, Lu Ann Smith (Tommy) of Oxford, Tom Hoar (Darlene) of Oxford and Ben Hoar (Susan) of Salisbury; her cousin SaraBeth Crane (Frank) of Clayton, Georgia.; and also, Kathie Wilson, Ilean McGlarn, Shirley Dennis, Melony Perry, Pinky Glaspie and Martha Campbell. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
