She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Connell and Virgie Wilson Connell; her husband Curtis Thweatt; her children, Terry Franklin Rosamond and Rhonda Nicole Hitt; her brother Lester Lewis "Pete" Connell, Jr.; and her great grandchild Sophia Elaine Smiley.
She is survived by: her children, Sonya Lara of Franklin, TN, Donna Patterson of Oxford, MS, Stephen Rosamond of Oxford, MS, Mack Thweatt (Beth) of Paris, MS and Mark Thweatt (Nancy) of Roswell, GA; and her grandchildren, LilaGrace Lara, Nikki Thweatt, Kasey Earnest, Cory Thweatt (Chelsea), Mitchell Thweatt, Amanda Smiley (Drew), Paden Patterson, Alexandra Phillips (Daniel) and Evan Thweatt (Morgan).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Delay Baptist Church (127 Co Rd 445, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
