With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur W Frierson of Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dunlap and Annie Pettis Frierson; and his sister Kathryn Frierson Bendall. He is survived by: his wife Janie Helton; his pet Linus; his cousin Lillian Vandergriff of Ravenden Springs, AR; his brother-in-law Louis Helton of Cordova, TN; his nephew Greg Helton; his great-nephew Ethan; his great-niece Ella Helton of Lewis Center, OH; his nieces and nephews, Amy Ward (Dave) of Memphis, TN., Robert Lynn Frierson III (Pam) of Oxford, MS, Benjamin Luckie Frierson (Sharon) of Corinth, MS, Arthur Maddox Frierson (Michelle), Katelyn of Oxford, MS and Chris Frierson (Jennifer); his great-nieces, Mattie and Annie; his great-nephew Reed of Oxford, MS; his nephews, Josh Frierson of Oxford, MS, William Taylor Frierson of Oxford, MS and Robert Lynn Frierson IV (Kiersten); and also, Joey Frierson, Taylor of Olive Branch, MS and Charlie of Katy, TX.. He is also survived by his cousins and their children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the College Hill Presbyterian Church (339 Co Rd 102, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
