He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Ferris and Lina Baggett Linton; his former wife Barbara Hollingsworth; and his son Barry Linton. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia F. Linton of Oxford, MS; his daughters, Phyllis Linton of Gulfport, MS and Cynthia G. Linton of Oxford, MS; his stepdaughters, Ginger Harrel (Danny) of Oxford, MS, Susannah Furr of Cary and Libby Furr (Dean Worsham) of Oxford, MS; his son Leslie Linton (Angela Alvis) of Daphne, AL; and his brother Bernard Linton of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
