She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roy Evans and Wray Evans; her son William Ross Smith, Jr.; her sister Margaret Rose Holloway; her son Richard Hayden Smith; her daughters-in-law, Emily Smith of Cleveland, Miss. and Virginia Smith Young of Oxford, Miss.; her brother Roy Dudley Evans of Bassfield, Miss; her nieces, Alice Sanders of Kosciusko, Miss., Susan Guercio (Mike) of Venice, Fla. and Linda Bradshaw (Sunny) of Fairhope, Ala.; and her grandchildren, Margery Smith Beck of Omaha, Neb., Brandon Smith (Angel) of Oxford, Miss., Jill-Curry Henderson (Marshall) of Fort Payne, Ala., Hayden Evans Smith (Chris) of Helena, Ala. and David Ross Smith of Cleveland. She was also cherished by 16 great-grandchildren.
