He was predeceased by: his former wife Joy May Hicks; and his parents, James Hicks and Ellen Prine Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Hicks; his sons, Danny Hicks (Kelly), Donnie Hicks (Tonna) and Doyle Hicks (Darlene); his stepchildren, John Maddox (Betsy), Mark Maddox (Robyn) and Sheryl Wiliams (Tom); and his grandchildren, Lavon, Melanie, Tara, Bryce, Bruce, Kasey, Shawn and Kimberly.
