He was predeceased by: his parents, Kernell Young and Charlie Opal Rowell Young; and his siblings, Otto Young, Larry Young and Faye Busby.
He is survived by: his children, Charlie Bock (Jim) and Gerald Young, Jr. (Tina); and his grandchildren, Tiffani Lyon (Zach), Hope Young, Carissa Slaughter (Ethan), Alyssa Mims (Cody) and Brandon Mobbs (Kelli). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
