He is survived by: his wife Janice Bynum Carter of Ovett; his children, Elaine Carter of Ovett, Lynn Carter Holmes (Tim) of Runnelstown and Joseph Carter (Angie) of Collins; his grandchildren, Michael Miller, Jeremy Miller, Blake Young, Eric Holmes, Matthew Holmes, Jessica Holmes, Christopher Smith, Briana Smith, Delain Phillips, Jessie Phillips, Adam Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Tony Phillips, Magen Bush, Coy Carter, Andrea Ellis and Eli Carter; and his sisters, Janelle Townsend of Bassfield and Bobbie Runnels of Seminary. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
