It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Earl Nichols of Ovett, Mississippi, who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Nichols and Beatrice Nichols; his granddaughter Kyra Nicholson; and his siblings, Willie Earl Nichols, Clinton Roger Nichols, Donald Dean Nichols and Shelia Ann Creel.

He is survived by: his wife Dessie Nichols of Ovett; his children, Lisa Nicholson (Travis) of Ovett, Rodney Nichols (Angela) of Laurel, Randy Nichols of Laurel and Dewayne Nichols (Mandy) of Ovett; his grandchildren, Bailey Nichols, Zane Nichols, Shawn Nichols, Hunter Nichols, Dalton Nichols and Kayden Nicholson; and his sister Francis Sanders of Ovett.
