He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Fontenelle and Mary Lou Fontenelle; and his siblings-in-law, Roy Coats and Sharon Ruch. He is survived by: his wife Carol Coats Fontenelle; his children, Jordan Fontenelle, Shawn Fontenelle, Jody (Dee Petty), Lacy Lestelle, Joyce Petty, Dorothy Petty and Chrissy (Jimmy Hook); his sister Wanda Dartus; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Coats and Ruth Charlton.
