He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Walter and Myrtle Lee Hay; and his wife Frances Colleen Hay. He is survived by: his children, Charles Richard Hay (Ruth), Charlene H Burkes (Dave) and Donna Hay; his grandchildren, Matthew Hay (Jamie), Justin Hay (Ali), Elizabeth Herrin, Christopher Burkes and Andrew Burkes (Jocelyn); and his great grandchildren, Kayley Herrin, Anniston Herrin, Dillon Herrin, Caldwell Hay, Scottie Hay, Reese Hay, Elijah Burkes, Peyton Burkes, Olivia Burkes and Paisleigh Burkes.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Burch Cemetery.
