It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Eugene Hopkins Sr. (Olive Branch, Mississippi), born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hopkins and Louisa Hopkins; and his brothers, John Hopkins and Bobby Hopkins. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hopkins; his children, Elizabeth Hopkins (Mike Roach) and Tommy Hopkins, Jr. (Jodie); his siblings, Billy Hopkins (Pat) and Evylou Turner; and his grandsons, Tyler Hopkins (Brey) and Justin Hopkins (Kaitlyn). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brantley Funeral Home (6875 Cockrum Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Global Methodist Church (3945 MS-305, Hernando, MS 38632). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to First Global Methodist Church, "Building Fund," P.O. Box 51 Olive Branch, Ms 38654.
