He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jo Gatewood; his parents, Mary Gatewood and Cordies Gatewood; his siblings, Rosemary Walker, Laureen Hart, Cordies Gatewood, Jr. and Ronald Gatewood; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Green Gatewood.
He is survived by: his children, Darla Grey (Kevin), Michael A. and Timothy A. Gatewood; his siblings, Ardith Ashe of Selmer, TN and Vilas L. Gatewood of Arizona; his pet Tiger; and his friends, Terry, Susan Maxey, Jim Hartsfield, Gerald Todd and Bobby Cooper. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
