He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Crippen "Crip" Bratton and Margaret Ellett Bratton; his sisters, Doris Bratton Strider and Maxine Bratton Parchman; his brother-in-law Harold Strider; and his children, Jimmy Ray Bratton, Jr. (Bubba), Thomas Wesley Bratton (Tommy) and Sandra Kay Bratton.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Donna Fortner; his grandchildren, Christopher Malone (Chris) and April Fortner (Collin); his great grandchildren, Avalyn, Eli and Evalyn West; his daughter-in-law Sandra Sowell Bratton; and his brother-in-law Hal Parchman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
