He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell Marchant and Mary Ossie Hendren Marchant; his wife Betty Joy Mills; and his siblings, James R Marchant, Doris Hand and Ann Giles.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Marchant Smith (Bruce), Barbara Marchant Anderson (late Bill), Jerry Marchant Jr. (Sherry) and J. David Marchant (Addie); and his grandchildren, William G. Anderson Jr. (Kim), Russell Anderson (Fareen), Joshua Anderson (Katie), Jerry Marchant III (Stephanie) and Sam Marchant (Emily). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brantley Funeral Home (6875 Cockrum Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
