He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryce Rutledge and Jessie Lee Rutledge (Rutledge). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Rutledge (Leslie) and Lauren Melton (Michael); the mother of his children Debbie Rutledge; his sister Beverly Rutledge; and his grandchildren, Lillie Mae Rutledge, David Jedi Bryce Rutledge, Joseph Brodie Melton and Laura Belle Melton.
