She was predeceased by: her parents, James Fike and Dorothy Fike; her former husband Bennie Smith; her grandson Kent Rangel; her great grandchild Miracle Rangel; her siblings, Ronald Fike and Sandy Fike; and her grandparents, Ronald, Bessie Walker, Rufus, Jennie Fike and Johnny Witcher.

She is survived by: her husband Joe; her daughters, Tena McDowell (Daniel), Sharon Rangel (Rafael) and Inez Witcher; her siblings, James Fike (Becky), Billy Fike (Gloria), Charlotte Whittington (Larry), Peggy Lawson (Bryant), Carolyn Quade (Donald) and Belinda Hall (Alan); her grandchildren, Kristopher Witcher, Kasey McDowell, Keri McDowell, Lillian Sykes, Keith Rangel, Kevin Rangel and Kyleigh Waldrop; and her great grandchild Sophia Rangel.
