He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret L. Harper; his son Michael Harper; his parents, Joseph Henry Harper and Jeanie Green Harper; his granddaughter Samantha Reyes; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Dalton Reyes; and his siblings, Naomi Sue Harper, Evelyn Reese, Harry Harper, Robert Lee Harper and David Harper.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Ann Porter of Olive Branch, MS, Traci Harper Nichols (Phelan) of Olive Branch, MS and Kevin Harper (Lucy) of Tuscumbia, AL; his grandchildren, Joanna Michelle Pierce of Independence, MS, Abbi Nichols of Olive Branch, MS and Kevin Michael Porter of Cedar Bluff, AL; his great grandchildren, Crimson Pierce of Independence, MS, Auburn Pierce of Independence, MS, Aggie Pierce of Independence, MS and Brigham Pierce of Independence, MS; and his sister Norissa Caraway (Wayne) of Woodville, Texas..
