He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Hood and Lucille Hood; his wife Dorothy Mae Gusler Hood; his sons, Gary Hood and Mark Hood; his grandchildren, Stephanie Russell Inmon, Kristi Hood Nix and Derek Huffman; and his siblings, Edgar Hood, Fannie Lee Hutton, Johnnie Mae Myrick and Marcella Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Hood (Rhonda) of Houlka, Kevin Hood of Houlka, Sherry Russell (Steve) of Thaxton, Janet Clark (Billy) of Houlka, Deidra Earnest of Okolona, Melony Clark (Vic) of Houlka and Lara Huffman of Starkville; and his siblings, Dale Hood (Eva) of Newton, William Hood (Norma) of Paris, TX, Billy Ray Hood (Kathy) of Houlka, Virginia Hallock of Newton, Ill Harrison and Barbara Harrison of Bee Bee, Ark. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
