The memory of Sara Palmer of Okolona, Mississippi, born in Tishomingo, Mississippi, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson Gray Goodwin and Inez Clement Goodwin; her siblings, Wilese Cain (late Sammy) and Darwin Goodwin; and the father of her children Gene Palmer.
She is survived by: her children, Tracey Lewman (Randy Lewman) of Okolona and Casey Palmer of Skyline; her granddaughter Hannah Gregory (Austin); her grandmothers, Charlie Brooke and Knox Gregory; her grandchildren, Allie Wallis, Kelsey Horn and Jackson Phillips; her nieces and nephews, Linda Russell, Carol Taylor, Angie Inman, Linda Easley, Stephanie Coleman, Mark Cain (Cindy), Chuck Inman (Carmen) and Ronnie White; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Dr. Zachary Inman (Lisa), Dr. Kymberly Moyer (Kirk), Stephanie, Matthew, Rachel Cain and Holli Wardlaw; her daughter-in-law Lisa Phillips; her cousins, Sammylee Pounds and Debbie Nelson; her close friends, Vicky Brown and Tracey; and also, Declan and Andy (Rita). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church- Okolona Okolona (201 W Main St, Okolona, MS 38860). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
