It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Herrod of Okolona, Mississippi, born in San Diego, California, who passed away on August 26, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Lee Shepherd and Kathryn Josephine Norris Mullins; and her sister Martha Wallace. She is survived by: her husband Pete of Okolona; her children, Marilyn Gilliam (Dwayne) of Mendenhall and Willie Thomas "W. T." Herrod, Jr. (Christy) of Pearl; her grandchildren, Christopher Silverman (Kimberly) of North Carolina and Cheyenne Lamon (Josh) of Mendenhall; her sisters, Willette Coker (Donald) of Brandon and Susan Jennings of Florence; and her pets, Georgie, Gracie and Midnight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
