He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Elmo Carnathan and Maxell Bowen Carnathan; his siblings, James Elmo Carnathan and Ruby Jean Hill; and his brother-in-law Johnny Parham.
He is survived by: his wife Sheree Carnathan of Okolona; his children, Mendy Vickers (Ken) of Pulaski, TN and Joe William Carnathan of Okolona; his siblings, Robbie Joe Carnathan (Emily) of Okolona, Marcelle Bethany (Bob) of Tupelo and Vicki Parham of Hatley; his mother-in-law Romelle Darnell Cates (J. C.) of Columbus; and his siblings-in-law, Alicia Edens of Aberdeen and Van Gibson (Paula) of Aberdeen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.
