He was predeceased by: his parents, I. P. LaRue, Jr. and Martha Todd LaRue; and his sister Terry Jensen. He is survived by: his wife Debbye McManus LaRue; his children, Carrie LaRue (Jeffrey Knab), Kelly LaRue (Joe Whelchel) and Martha Bennett (James); his grandchildren, Kanin Davis, Nathaniel Willis, James Bennett III, John Bennett, Isadora Knab and Beckham Davis; his siblings, Nancy Blakney, Martha Fulcher (Bob) and Tom LaRue (Emily); and his pets, Abby and Ziva.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Coastal Conservation Agency (CCA) in his honor.
