He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Boyd and Lydia Boyd; his siblings, Mary Ellen Boyd Ratcliff and Russell Alan Boyd; his brother-in-law Dave Smith; and his nephews, David Smith and Richard Smith.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jeanette Boyd Smith, Linda Boyd (Curtis), Terry and Michael Wayne Boyd (Geri); his children, Tammy Boyd Harris (Bob) and Christie Boyd Johnson (Ray); his grandson Ethan Boyd Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Rachel Gartman (Justin), Jessica Kirkey (Charles) and Scott Harris (Autumn); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rhys Monroe Gartman, Ainsley Lynne Harris, Gage Hempe and Bryson Hempe; and his nieces and nephews, Scott Ratcliff, Danny Smith, Andrew Smith, Jeremy Terry, Corey Holliman, Eileen Mai, Jessica Stundahl, Amanda Dixon, Lindsay Boyd and Jamie Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefer donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children Hospital.
