He was predeceased by: his parents, O. W. "Dutch" Rushing and Amelia Rushing. He is survived by: his son Thomas Cross Rushing; and his siblings, Sam (Di), Jim Rushing (Billie Marie) and Anna "Jo" Miller (late Charlie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
