Evans (Summers); his sisters, Bebra Diane Summers and Katherine Summers Martin; his uncle Jimmy Williams; his aunt Betty Greenwood (Aunt Child); and his cousin John Henry Hall (Uncle Buddy).
He is survived by: his mother Mamie S. Gayle of Moss Point, MS; his son Roosevelt S. Ackerson; his grandchildren, Skylar A. Ackerson of Richmond, VA, Brionne M. Scott and Tahj D. Scott; his uncle Robert "Honeyman" Evans of Pascagoula, MS; his great-niece Whitney Andrews of New Orleans, LA; his nephew David White; and his cousin Willie Lee Brown of Moss Point, MS. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
There will be a private ceremony held by the family on Wednesday, due to COVID-19.
