He was predeceased by: his brother Kim Kourkounis; and his parents, Angie Kourkounis and Pete Kourkounis. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Kourkounis; his daughters, Erin Monroe (Nate) and Quinn Wojtala (Evan); his grandchildren, Ivy and Graham; and his brother Jim Kourkounis (Barbara).
In retirement, Peter and Betsy traveled, competed in solitaire and hearts and tried not to drive each other crazy while staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
