With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kyla Watkins of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on December 6, 2023 at the age of 18. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandfather Johnnie Lyn Watkins; her great-grandparents, Virgil Lee Relic, Sr. and Louise Harris Retic; her grandfather Dwayne Potts, Sr.; her aunt Shirley T. Potts; her uncle Curtis Watkins; and her close friend Se'Dhari Watson Person.
She is survived by: her parents, Kevin Watkins and Aundria Watkins; her sister Janiya Spears (Marquis) of Gautier, MS; her great-grandparent Carl Harris, Jr. (Bay); her grandparents, Louise Watkins of Moss Point, MS, Ronald Kelly (Duchess) of Gautier, MS and Carol D. Robinson of Ocean Springs, MS; her niece Ella Lyn Spears of Gautier, MS; her aunts and uncles, Eugene Watkins (La 'Shanna), Timoth Watkins (Barbara) of Pascagoula, MS, Margaret Myles of Pascagoula, MS, Danyelle Harris of Pascagoula, MS, April Harris of Ocean Springs, MS, Aiesha Petersen Smith (JR) of Indianapolis, IN, Corey Robinson, Sr., Bay and Dwayne Potts, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO.; her godparents, Willie, Louise Jones of Gautier, MS and Marcus Buckley, Sr. of Moss Point, MS; her friends, Tatyanna Richmond, Destiny Dixon, Azaria DeFlanders, Paris Lee, Olivia Rogers and Ladrika Jefferson; and her close friend Christian Jones. She is also survived by cousins, God-siblings, family, and friends.
Her will to give will thrive forever in the eight lives she saved through organ donations.
