Joyce Chamberlain Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Chamberlain in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Musser Books and Priscilla Catherine Wingerd Books; her husband Daniel Robert Chamberlain; and her siblings, Maynard, Virgil Books, Jule Clausen and Lola Gade.

She is survived by: her children, D. Rodney, Mark, Anthony, Priscilla, Aletha (Huffman), Cynthia (Becker) and Marianne (Pinter); and her adoptive daughter Denna Fan. She is also survived by eight children-in-law, over 25 grandchildren and as many greatgrandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes - Ocean Springs (911 Porter Ave, Ocean Springs, MS 39564). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Joyce's name to Benjamin and Priscilla Books scholarship at Messiah University in PA or a charity of one's choice.
