She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Mayfield; her parents, Henry Seymour and Alleen Seymour; her sons, Michael Mayfield and Richard "Dick" Mayfield; and her siblings, Ramona Bousqueto, Marian Sullivan, Alfred, Danny and Chris Seymour.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Mayfield, Francine Smith (Winston), Harold "Huffy" Mayfield and Jocelyn Mayfield (Bert); and her siblings, Norma Williams and Roger Seymour (Ethel). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Joicelyn's honor to St. Joseph's Indian School - Chamberlain, South Dakota, St. Vincent DePaul, or The Lord Is My Help, Ocean Springs, MS.
