It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John A. Simmons of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Simmons and Anna Gertrude Simmons; his son Mark Henry Simmons; and his grandson Stephen Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ions Parker Simmons; his children, Mary Margaret Peleaz, Louis John Simmons Sr. and Anna Marie Turner; and his grandchildren, Charles Rosonet III (Emma) of Louis Simmons, JR., David Wilkerson (Jeannette), Kimberly Russel (Michael), Anthony Simmons, Mark Simmons Jr. (Cheryl), Ashley Farmer and Charles Williams (Becky). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
