She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob J. Schmitt and Mabel C. Schmitt (Stortz); her son Ronald W. McCarthy; and her grandson Steven P. McCarthy. She is survived by: her husband John W. McCarthy; her sons, John J. (Cassandra) and Patrick M. (Melinda); and her siblings, Douglas E. Schmitt and Vera Mae Schmitt. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
