With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James M. Lancaster Sr. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, born in Greenville, Mississippi, who passed away on February 22, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Lancaster and Irma Lancaster; his brother Archie B. Lancaster, III; and his close friend Dr. Ed Krecker. He is survived by: his wife Emily Lancaster; his children, James Mansell Lancaster, Jr., Sally Lancaster, Elizabeth LeBlanc (Nathan), David Pritchett Jr. and Amy Chataginer (Walter); his grandchildren, David Pritchett III (Becky), Dylan Richmond (Nicole), MaryJane LeBlanc, EmilyAnn LeBlanc, Anna Chataginer, Walter Chataginer Jr. and Avery Friedman; his great grandchildren, Alexis Pritchett, David Parker Pritchett and Arthur James Chataginer; his sister Jane Scott (John); his sister-in-law Jeanette Lancaster; and his pets, Katie, Wilson, Grey and Pretty Baby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, in lieu of flowers donations to Saad's Hospice or the James Lancaster Endowment Fund at St. John's Episcopal Church would be appreciated.
