He was predeceased by: his brother Jonathan William Gatewood; and his grandparents, Jimmy Joe, Wynette Gatewood and Willie Mason Ledlow. He is survived by: his parents, Joey Gatewood and Linda Gatewood; his grandmother Ruby Ledlow; and his uncles, Craig Ledlow and Michael Ledlow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Dr. Gatewood requests that donations be made to: Sprinkles of Hope: Charter Bank C/O Sprinkles of Hope 2702 Bienville Blvd. Ocean Springs, Mississippi 39564.
