He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Smith and Sally Smith; and his siblings, Melvin Smith and Elizabeth Lett. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Smith; his children, Laurie Moore, Lana Moore and Harry Smith, Jr.; his siblings, Calvin Smith, James, Sidney Berlyn Smith, Grady Smith, Raymond Smith, Christina Smith, Jeannetta Smith and Jessie Johnson; and his grandchildren, Charles Shaw, Jessica Shaw, Danielle Shaw, Joelle Day and Judea Day. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
