He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Hines and Irene Hines; his sister Gail Ketchum; his sisters-in-law, Ann Hines and Dixie Rittersbach; and his grandson Michael Hines.
He is survived by: his brother Butch Hines; his wife Katrina Rebel Hines; his children, Diane Hines, Rachael Hines and Kellie Hines (Jeffrey Messer); his grandchildren, Cohen and Mollie James Messer; his nieces and nephews, Tina Wilson, Kandace Johnson (John), Robin Wade, Jennifer Schenski (Brian), Logan Short and Sean McGee; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Short, Trilby Trahan (Sidney) and Leslie McGee (Patrick).
