He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Elwood Cox and Lois Extine; his grandson Aaron Cox; and his sister Kimberly Mapp. He is survived by: his wife Lydia "Libby" Cox; his children, Crystal Serrano (Daniel), Caitlin Cox (Chad Steele) and Carey "C. J." Cox; his siblings, Cyndi Stubbs, Charles "Sonnie" Kuns (Dianna), Ronnie Cox (Carolynn), Tyron Cox (Cheryl) and Tim Cox (Bridgett); and his grandchildren, Finn, Skylar, Delaney, Addilynn, Paisley and Cruz.
