He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin Russell Sr. and Nellie Russell (Mooneyham); his wife Carolyn Russell; his son Marlin Lee Russell; and his brother Jimmy Russell.
He is survived by: his children, William Russell of Madison, MS, Tommy Russell (Tonya) of Haughton, LA, Debbie Carol Chambers (Ben) of Courtland, MS, Lisa Russell of Oakland, MS and Candis Collison (Ashley) of Cocoa, FL; and his siblings, Larry Russell, Shorty Russell, Jaunita Parks, Brenda Brock and Glenda Clark (Donald). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
