He is survived by: his wife Eva Jones Covington of Oakland, MS; his children, Mitzie Harris (Danny), LaNora Yasko (Pete) and Paul Covington (Christy) of Hernando, MS.; his stepchildren, Jerrie Cameron (Leonard) of Grain Valley, James Thompson (Rhonda) of Brandon, MS and David Staggs of Oakland, MS.; his sister Betty Clements of Olive Branch, MS; his grandchildren, Jason Coleman, John Coleman, Rebecca Hopkins, Allyson Turner and Lauren Glessing; and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Sydney, Jones, Brian, Braden, Callie-Faye, Molly, Granger, Tenley, Lathen and Lilly. He is also survived by seven step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hosanna Church (586 Hentz Rd, Pope, MS 38658). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
