It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie L. Scharnhorst of Noxapater, Mississippi, who passed away on March 16, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Iiams and Katie Shinkle Iiams; her husband Owen F. Scharnhorst; her son Robert L. Scharnhorst; and her brothers, Earnest, Raymond and Charlie Iiams.
She is survived by: her daughter Edna Fondren (Mike) of Noxapater; her grandchildren, Michael Fondren, Jr. (Ty), Eddie Fondren (Carin), Matthew Fondren (Kellie), Ellen Taylor and James M. Fondren (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Madison, Jennie, Raegan, Chloe, Will, Anna Leigh, Lynnlee Kate, Graham and Emmie Del; and her nephews, Virgil Lee Iiams (Carolyn) and Ernie Iiams (Maria). She is also survived by two great-nephews and a great-niece.
